At HEC, new members are elected by all members of the association, following a series of selective tests: a knowledge test, a complete simulation of an assignment, from customer call-back to final summary, interviews, and finally an election campaign supported by sponsors.
Following this nearly three-month process, students do not enter the structure directly. They first go through a period of advanced training, in parallel with their studies at HEC Paris. This training is provided by the outgoing mandate and renowned partners.
Continuing education at HEC Paris
HEC Paris is ranked number 1 worldwide for its Master in Management by the Financial Times. It is Europe's leading business school, attracting exceptional talent from all over the world every year.
In the classroom, trained by renowned professors, HEC students acquire practical skills essential to their professional lives, and to their success within Junior Entreprise: accounting, corporate finance, strategy, data modeling and using code for reprocessing, drawing up business plans, etc.
At the same time, more than a third of the members of each elected mandate follow prestigious double degree courses in law, mathematics or economics. Our double-degree programs with prestigious institutions such as Polytechnique, ENSAE and the Sorbonne give our students unique, in-depth skills. Our more experienced students (in their gap year or Master 2 program) have completed prestigious internships in renowned financial, legal or strategic organizations , enabling them to advise our customers effectively.
Training through the previous mandate
Students' first contact with HEC Junior Conseil is during an Academy, a three-week seminar where they receive in-depth training from their alumni and outside speakers. On the program: understanding how an assignment is carried out, studying the services provided (how to carry out a market study? A benchmark? A business plan?), choosing a specific area of expertise for each student.
Following this seminar, each student is assigned a sponsor in the previous term. In addition to training them in their functional role (treasurer, audit manager, business development manager), the mentor completes the training of his or her godchild by giving them an observation role on their assignments. For three months, new arrivals are observers, enabling them to integrate our processes and adopt best practices. This forms the basis of their apprenticeship in customer relations, and instills in them the values of HEC Junior Conseil: responsiveness, excellence and experience.

Training through our partners
HEC Junior Conseil is fortunate to be able to rely on its renowned partners to provide training for its mandates.
For several years now, Kearney has been supporting our recruitment efforts. A team of experienced consultants, most of them alumni of HEC and HEC Junior Conseil, devotes part of its time to correcting the summaries produced by around a hundred candidates. During a correction conference, Kearney gives the students their first lessons in strategy consulting , as well as advice for their future studies.
Thank you to our partners for their unfailing support of our association and their investment in building the excellence of our structure with us!
Every year, KPMG collaborates with us on the KPMG Challenge, where HEC Junior Conseil students coach a team of 40 students on a flash assignment. Our partner then selects the best pairs to offer them immersion in their teams.
Every year,PwC, Oliver Wyman and EY offer advanced training courses on their premises, on topics ranging from database management and market research to due diligence and internal process improvement.
